At the center of the storm is Hu Wenjing, a female criminal police officer who is accidentally drawn into a drug transaction; Cheng Ken, an ordinary father willing to sacrifice everything to save his daughter; Li Xiaoya, an ambitious woman determined to escape the confines of small-town life; and siblings Wang Ping and Wang An, whose lives are consumed and derailed by drugs. As desire and greed weave a suffocating cocoon around them, no one emerges unscathed.
Through an immersive portrayal of the town’s ecosystem, the series seeks to craft a refined, character-driven anti-drug drama—intimate in scale yet rich in texture and emotional realism.
